Let me introduce you to our new trestle farm table. Hand-made for us by Jeff, who lives nearby in Linden Hills.  He did a fabulous job.  Made from reclaimed barnwood (Grandpa Gardner would be proud - he loved barns!!).

It is, by far, one of the most beautiful pieces of handmade furniture I've set eyes on.  Merry Christmas to us.  I hope to share of many, many meals, conversations & games {of Scrabble} on this table in the years to come.   This will not be one of those pieces of furniture we "rotate out" like we do countless others.   And perhaps someday... ma boys will be fighting over who gets Mom & Dad's reclaimed barnwood table.
