Be a blessing

Passed a woman on the side of the road this morning... 
taking my kid down 36th to school at o'dark thirty, and she was dressed for the rainy weather, safety vest on, headphones, baseball cap and in her arms were bags... full of trash she was picking up along the road that the kids take to/from school every.single.day! 

What a blessing she is to our community, probably retired, and still giving back. 

I quickly sped off to Caribou and grabbed a gift card, back-tracked and found her... blessed & thanked her for her kindness... hoping she continues in her quest for making a more beautiful world, and that she takes time for a cup of something warm at the end of her morning.

Community Meal

I've shared before that our church is hosting a FREE meal on Tuesday evenings from 5:30 - 6:30 pm.  We were finally able to partake last night. JP was excited in not having to plan a menu for the evening, and I was excited there was no clean-up.  We will definitely go back and also sign up to volunteer as a family.

The kids were pretty excited about the menu for the night.

Brats or hot dogs, and all the fixin's.  A little summer left in September.

Free for everyone every week at Calvary!
Beginning July 31, the Community Meal will be held every Tuesday from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. in the Calvary Gym.  No prerequisites. No strings attached. It's simply a time for anyone and everyone to gather together and to enjoy some good food
