I am woman, here me RAM!?

So the Chinese (and Lunar) New Year is coming up ~ coincidentally on Sunday, February 14th ~ and while most of the Americanized world is celebrating the Hallmark holiday of Valentine's Day, there are many others who will celebrate Sunday in an entirely different way.

And as I stopped at the card section over my lunch hour today, I discovered that the cheapest card I picked up was $2.49.  Sure, there was a good selection of funny, sarcastic and heartfelt love, but why would I spend money on something that my loved one will read and subsequently recycle the very next moment?  Surely there has to be a better way (and there is, but that's another post).  But, I digress.

I was born in the year of the RAM.  And a coworker who is involved in ERG's (employee resource groups) shared the following horoscope with me for 2010:

Further to that, she said she could look up specifics by my hour of birth!  I am impressed.  And yes, I dabble in a little belief of all things horoscope on occasion ~ so while I take this with a grain of salt, I am also eager to see if any of it relates to my life.  I can surely tell you that the descriptors of a person born in the year of the RAM fit me to a T.

Born the year of the Ram and the hours of the Dragon…your horoscope continues…
“Imagine a terrifying animal – one with multi-colored scales who spits fire but wears colorful boots and is crowned with graceful horns.  This combination looks like this but is very much at ease with itself.  You are an artist with a lot of daring projects on the go.”

Basically, I take it as you’re one individual that people should not mess with…your grace and friendly exterior has a fiery interior that one should not reckon/mess with if they know what’s best for them…no-one should dare cross you!
Hmmmm, interesting, yes?  I think so.
I am very much looking forward to the year of the TIGER.
