Memorial Weekend

For most, it signifies a day off from work, the start of summer, and the end of school is in sight. We must not forget those who have fought for our freedom. Hold their memories dear in your heart and celebrate those who are still living and fighting for us!

Yes, I fall into the category of looking forward to a three day weekend! JP already has Mondays off so he probably feels robbed of his day of R&R when the rest of us are home too!

We have no major plans. Some friends are coming over Saturday night (after JP gets home from work) for pork loin on the grill. I hope to find some annuals on sale somewhere and get them into our planter boxes. Just a little behind on beautifying the yard this year. Perhaps a little more spring cleaning. ARC called and wants to come by to help me in this effort. They will be "in our neighborhood on June 2nd" to pick up our castoffs. Yippeee!!

In years past, I have taken the boys to a local cemetery that honors fallen soldiers. There are many, many flags that line the driveway, a bite to eat, lots of activity and a few veterans there to tell a story, if you're willing to sit and listen a spell. I think I'll put that on our agenda for Monday.
