Mining with Rarejule

I am thankful for my friend who took me to lunch yesterday,
if it were not for her, I wouldn't have left my jacket with my car keys in her backseat. Stranded at work, with no way home, I am thankful for my coworker who lives nearby and drove me.

I am thankful for the alarm clock that didn't go off this morning,
if not for the hour delay, I wouldn't have had a chance to drive my son to high school (wet head and all).

I am thankful for the job I hold that puts money in my pocket,
if not for a paycheck, I wouldn't be able to stop for coffee and a muffin this morning.

I am thankful for the bag that the muffin came in, covered a bit in wax,
if not for that bag, my morning sickness would have been all over the steering wheel.

I am thankful for the panty liner that graces my underwear,
if not for the liner, I would have had to turn around and go back home from bladder incontinence while getting sick.

I am thankful for not remembering my work badge, sitting on the counter staring me in the face this morning,
if not for my forgetfulness, I might not have been greeted with such a welcoming smile by my receptionist.

I am thankful for my friend who took me to lunch yesterday,
if it were not for her, I wouldn't have gotten out to see the beauty of the season.

I am thankful for another day, and my brain cells constantly regenerating,
if not for this baby growing inside of me, I might not appreciate life in the moment as much as I do right now!
